Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Higher Education

The Higher Education survey focuses on people's political attitudes and their views of higher education. The information from this survey will help researchers understand the public's level of support for different university activities.

The pretest began in Fall of 2019 in six states: Ohio, West Virginia, California, Florida, New York, and Texas. The survey was administered through CHRR's American Population Panel by matching panel members' demographics from the six initial states. A second wave survey began fielding in March of 2025 re-surveying respondents from wave 1.

First wave findings informed the article, Everything Universities Wanted to Know About Public Opinion* (*but Were Afraid to Ask), and the book, What's Public about Public Higher Ed?.
