CHRR at The Ohio State University, a center for survey research and data services, has been at the forefront of discovery for 60 years and counting, partnering in complex studies around the world — and right here in Ohio. The center continues to be a key player in scientific research because of its innovative work and depth of expertise. Our anniversary is certainly a time for celebration, but it’s also an opportunity to support and shine a light on the research community that surrounds us: students, staff, and faculty — and the community stakeholders they support. Free online seminar: Discover teen health research insights
Please join us for an online seminar in March sharing new research insights on teen health, presented by renowned sociologist and Ohio State professor Chris Browning, PhD. Browning will discuss key findings from recent research on how neighborhoods and other social factors impact the health and well-being of youth. Mark your calendars for the free seminar — March 6, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The event also includes a question-and-answer opportunity for audience members.
Explore CHRR's past, with an eye toward the future
CHRR was created in 1965 when two Ohio State economics professors were awarded a dream project — a longitudinal workforce survey for the federal government that was groundbreaking in size and scope. Over the years, we have greatly expanded our client roster and services, partnering on both local and international surveys and implementing data services second to none. Even so, the center is still firmly tied to its roots — we're deeply proud to say that our original federal partnership continues to this day.
