What’s New at CHRR
The first event connected to our 60th Anniversary celebration occurred Thursday March 6th when longtime CHRR research partner Chris Browning presented his work on the Adolescent Health and Development in Context study. Dr. Browning, who is a distinguished professor of sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences, provided the virtual audience of almost 150 participants from across the country with a comprehensive look at one of the most cutting-edge studies yet conducted on the impact that neighborhoods have on adolescent well-being. If you missed the event, you will be grateful to know that the recording of this presentation will be made available soon!

CHRR's Leadership Team
CHRR Leadership Team members met recently to discuss our next Town Hall Meeting, which is scheduled to happen on March 26th at 11 am. Instead of having a defined set of topics to discuss – something we have done for both of our previous virtual Town Halls – Leadership Team members decided for a more “open mic” agenda. Hence, please note that a brief survey will be sent out soon that is designed to solicit questions that staff members would like to have answered and/or topics to be addressed in this virtual gathering. Please remember to respond on or before close of business next Friday, March 21st so that we can publish the full list of questions and topics to be covered prior to the Town Hall meeting.

CHRR Team Member Celebrations
“The main ingredient of stardom is the rest of the team.” -John Wooden
Every month, we have been celebrating the work anniversaries of CHRR’s valued employees. I began doing this in April of 2024, so we are now at the one-year mark of these commemorations. And lo and behold, at present there are no CHRR team members who started to work for us in the month of March!
So instead of celebrating any single employees, I want to thank each and every CHRR team member for your commitment to the CHRR mission!

Ramser and Badger Present at International Conference the Netherlands

CHRR IT Director Nick Ramser recently presented an abstract and poster at the at the International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC) that was held February 17-19th at The Hague, the Netherlands. Nick was joined by Ohio State Research Data Librarian Kelsey Badger, who has emerged as an important partner for CHRR in the data repository and data enclave spaces. Together, Nick and Kelsey focused on their combined efforts to create a sensitive data repository which meets the new requirements for data sharing on federally funding research.
The title of their presentation was “The Generalist Repository 2.0: Designing a Discipline-Agnostic Repository for Sensitive Research Data.” The presentation on the repository gathered significant interest from conference attendees, generating several potential future partnership opportunities. Additionally, Nick noted that there were some excellent networking opportunities with other data curation experts working on similar projects. View the Generalist Repository 2.0 poster.
